Don't just take my word for it!

The college application process was admittedly a challenging process involving a long-term decision of choosing my career path and the best school to suit my goals. As with most students, uncertainty looms in when it comes to taking this next big academic step and the stress of doing just the right amount to get into the school of my dreams. Thankfully, I had Garima as my counsellor through my journey and she really was the best admissions consultant one could as for.. It was imperative that I find a counsellor who understood both me and my personal goals, to feel heard and accepted and Garima did just that. I especially recognize how she was very flexible with her timings and ensured that she was available to assist me throughout the process. Through her knowledge in the world of college applications and her words of encouragement, I was able to get into my dream university. Despite having a competent academic background (IITian, 760 GMAT), I had a non-traditional and meandering professional background (corporate -> startup -> government consulting). Hence, it was vital to stitch together a cohesive story in order to develop a strong application.

I worked with Garima on four applications—Darden, INSEAD, Wharton, and MIT. The storyboarding framework raised the right questions that prompted me to self-introspect and helped get my story together. However, what really helped me the most was the perfectionist in Garima. Despite being a strong writer, I saw my applications go through multiple iterations driven by her constructive feedback. Additionally, her keen eye for detail enabled me to get even the minutiae of the applications right. Moreover, I also have a tendency to delay things to the last minute and my applications wouldn’t have been possible if it weren’t for her constant push. She paced the application process such that I always had a few days in hand before the deadline, something that was invaluable.

Lastly, she is prompt and was always available throughout the process. I could reach out to her with any query at any hour of the day—a trait that speaks of her professionalism. She is equipped with all the skills required for a great admission consultant and I highly recommend her.

Garima is more than a guide and a consultant. Given her own MBA experience, she knows what it takes to get into the best MBAs in the world and brings that out in the application. Garima is really good at fleshing out your story and making sure that there is a clear logical flow to what you want to say. If I said this is my goal or I want to take xyz course in my essay, she would make sure I have articulated why that makes sense and how it all ties together. During the essay process, unlike most other consultants, Garima is happy to give all the time needed to perfect the essay drafts, version after version. Garima was extremely efficient as an MBA admissions consultant. She helped me figure out the strengths and weaknesses of my application and based on her vast experience, helped me decide on which B-schools I should be applying to.
